EyeChart v1.1 for iPhone (free)October 07, 2008
A Snellen Eye Chart is an eye chart used by eye care professionals and others to measure visual acuity. Snellen charts are named after the Dutch ophthalmologist Herman Snellen who developed the chart in 1862. While the classic Snellen chart is typically placed at 20' or 6m, pocket-sized versions such as this one can provide useful screens for rough visual acuity.

MedCards v1.2 for iPhone ($2)May 28, 2009 MedCards is a lithe little application that includes essential information and simple tools used in everyday medical practice. Imagine your pocket guide went to the Apple store and got itself some style and a few new friends.
Medical students, interns, residents, and attending physicians already know the utility of having a ruler, Snellen chart, or normal lab value reference guide at a moment’s notice. To this end, we make do with stacks of all those oddly shaped laminated cards that never seem to be in the order or location we had hoped. That is, if you can find them...
That’s where MedCards comes in.
MedCards is exactly what it sounds like: a collection of extraordinarily useful medical cards. They are for everyday and high-yield use. In addition to clear and pleasant design, each card also includes an “about” screen that provides annotation and references for its use.
And the best part is: it’s everywhere your iPhone is. Not only will this inexpensive pocket guide save you time, you’ll look good in the process.
